Just wanted to show you a blade of a friend of mine, that blew me away when I saw it.

Normally this kind of Bowie isn't up my alley, but the craftsmanship is simply stunning. He is also into restoring antique Colts and other guns, and his talent is simply amazing, especially for a guy who used to work in the computer and software field before he retired :D

Here is his website www.dell-knives.de

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Doesn't look like a lady's knife to me. It is definitely very artistic, but it doesn't come off as feminine to me. As a matter of fact, I like it a lot.

Looks manly enough for me.:D :D
I really like it, I guess because it looks remarkably like this Jerome Anders piece.

FWIW I see no femininity either....

Those handle pins look like they were laid out with a CNC!!!

That is a gorgeous knife. The handle texture is just unbelievable...I can't fathom how the maker managed such precision.

Hey

I think that it is really a very pretty knife.

Fabulous workmanship. I just don't think that a regular kind of guy would carry it.

Not that there is anything wrong with it.

I'm glad you guys like it as well. Although it doesn't strike me as feminine, I have to say that normally this antique style of bowie is also a bit too fany for my taste.

It's an old Spanish design. Perhaps they both copied it form the same book or photo.

That's what I remember him saying. It was a custom order from a guy who is into anique bowies and he gave him some old pictures . I suppose it was the same source of inspiration Jerome Anders drew from :).

Marcus

Boy Larry , that is the first thought that came to my mind too. In fact the grid pattern also. I can definately see that "guy" :) mounted horizontally on a 4th axis in a vertical machining center with a .062 ball mill snortin through the ivory. I know that there are guys that can & do accomplish that type of precision by hand but D*MN ....that is just perfect

the handle is beautiful! but personally i would have not had Damascus and have a plane blade with a clean lined Hammond flowing with the blade shape.

but still its wonderful.

also i don't know if I'm allowed to ask but does he do commissions?
