I just received my ladder pattern damascus wharncliffe necker from David Winston. It has MOP scales with thin black spacers. I believe its L6 and 1095 steel. It looks great and is far sharper than any knife I've owned previously. The tip on this thing is absolutely wicked. Here's some pics that Mr. Winston took. The pearl is much more lustrous than it appears in the pics.

He sure does, I own two from him. And I have to agree about the tips on his knives, the are very ummm.....pointy.
