Need a little feedback on this one..Started the glue up today on this knife and dont know if I like the spacer color combo or not, The customer said to just make it the way I like it and the damascus and stag look fine but dont know about the spacers. Any feedback would be great. Thanks Jim

jim, I'm not of your skills and I partly feel out of place saying this since I'm quite new on this site and you don't know me from the man in the moon. I went on your site and looked at your other spacer combinations (the one I saw at least) and I think I liked it better with the black/white, as in my humble opinion the white/red draws the eye too much, maybe stealing a bit of the action from the look of your beautiful damascus, and the (always awesome) stag... just my two cents.

For FWIW, I would like black spacers, separated by a steel one the color of the guard. I don't particularly like the red/white combination.

I agree, the red/white spacers just don't fit in with the overall design. The previously mentioned stainless spacer and/or silicone bronze and perhaps even some subtle file-working of a spacer would look very nice.

Since you're asking, I feel the guard could use slightly more shapeing/contouring as the lugs look a little thick or bulky to me.
I really like your blade profile.

Thanks guy's, I'm not so far along that I cant make a change, and I think I'm going to. I started out doing black and stainless spacers but my wife said try red and white so I did and haven't liked them since, just needed some opinions to confirm. I also think they take away from the look of the damascus and stag. Thanks Jim

I agree Kevin about the guard I will shape it more when I get the right spacer combo, I think it will be stainless and black.... Thanks

women... ruining stuff since we let them vote! lol, just kidding, no offense meant. and I agree with the above as well, the combination of a metal highlight in the spacers will really set this off (personally I like copper/black for this one, but I didn't want to say it earlier) and like kevin above, I'm a huge fan of this blade profile. looking forward to the finished product.

Went with the stainless and black fiber spacers, did a little filework and filled with black epoxy. MUCH happier with it now.

Is this any better?

NOW that's more like it! ...I think your customer will agree. that's a knife you wear around and strut with,
