Hey guys it's been a while, hope all is well with you!

Seems like each time away (for medical reasons) from knife making it's longer than the last! I was hoping this was my final absence from making but.................

I wanted to make a knife type that I've never done so I made this threaded tang with butt cap.

4 1/8" Damascus blade
Wrought iron guard with fluted ferrule
Sambar stag handle with fluted (to match stag) wrought iron butt cap
9" o.a.l.

Thanks for looking,
Dave

PS...the butt cap looks big and really stands out in the photos (imho) but in reality, it just kind of blends in with the stag and the flutes do line up with the stag grooves:)

Beautiful job Dave, its always good to see your work. It looks like it's just begging to be used, I really like the blade shape too.

Dave, that is just a gorgeous little knife. I like everything about it from the blade, shape to the damascus, to the sweet stag, to the fittings. Beautiful piece.

I hope that the health issues will abate sufficiently to allow you to do more fine work like this.

PS - my little ironwood desk knife is still rocking along.
