Here's my latest.

-112 layers of 1084 and 15n20......bashed out the hard way with hand and sledge hammers.
-4 3/4" blade from tip to guard.
-Stabilized walnut handle.
-Antique textured mild steel guard and finial/nut.
-Mirror polished(for that splash of bling:D) and fluted nickel silver spacer.

All comments and criticism welcome.

I am trying to improve my photography........I really need to make a light box:o

Very nice Darcy! Your Damascus keeps getting better, and I know how hard it is to do all by hand. Thanks for sharing your work here.

I always get excited when I see you've posted a new thread, and I have yet to be disappointed. I really like it.

I really like this piece. Very well executed and your combination of materials/design elements work so well together.

Wonderful knife - I like the figuring in the Damascus, including the way you got an E in there -

Lots to love about that one!

best

Very nice Darcy. I like your textured guard. Will I see this at the Kamloops show?

Yup.... it should be there.......... wait till you see what's coming down the assembly line next;)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Very much appreciated.

I like close-ups of nicely made knives so this is my favorite picture...
But investing 20 seconds with Photoshop to get rid of the unwanted
reflections on the the polished metal are all you need to make it perfect...

Here it is 20 seconds later....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thanks for that David. I have been meaning to get photoshop.......these pics are just straight from the camera with no alterations as I do not have the ability.......yet.
I appreciate you(and everyone else) taking time to post.
Darcy:)

At first glance I did not like the textured guard.
But after looking closer, I like it a lot.
Cool knife and nice work.
