I was curious about ordering a large Seb with a particular, or similar, UG pattern that was interesting to me from CRK. Also interested in Damascus blades.... Well I was taken back when I heard that to order a knife with Damascus it would be ~ (1) year. A bit more than I am will to wait:eek:

I picked up a micarta with Damascus here on the exchange. You can also look on the CRK web site for a list of authorized dealers and see if they may have what you're looking for.
The hunt is always fun.

If you look intently at all sites that sell CRK, you will find one or two you like. The are somewhat rare, but out there. If you want a UG similar to one you have seen in the past, ordering from CRK is your only option; unfortunately.

Thanks Guys! I have made up my mind it will have Damascus. I have seen some awesome ones with the UG which are a bit pricy, but who knows. I did notice on the CRK price list, that the basket weave design price is steeper than some of the others. Any ideas, maybe more lengthy forging? Anyway, I have a few more knives to sell :rolleyes:

I just placed an order for a small seb with ladder damascus and micarta inlays; expected completion January 2016!!!! Of course this is just a good excuse to pick up a Ti-lock or something else in the mean time.

Regarding price: Devin Thomas lists "Exotic Stainless" starting at $17.50 per inch and other Stianless starting at $12.00 for the same dimensions. Basketweave is under the Exotic section however Ladder and Raindrop are listed under both sections so it's unclear what the price for those two is. I wouldn't be surprised if some or all of the price difference is due to quantity ordered as well. They've (as far as I've been paying attention) always had raindrop and ladder then rotate a third, and the third always costs a bit more.

That's interesting! I have also noticed some of the raindrop can vary quite a bit. It with the ladder is my preference. BTY you are a patient man;)

Your best bet it to just buy an existing one unless you see a design that you just have to have with damascus.

Well then, that is settled... It will be a long recovery moving forward. Need to sell half my collection now. Found this one, Simple but elegant graphic, nice Cabochon, and the Damascus.
