I gave this small Bowie a 7" blade of 240 layer random pattern with a handle from some clear stabilized giraffe bone. This must have been some old bone as it had some age cracks (obviously before stabilizing) but I have always looked at that as character. I debated on giving the bone some standard checkering but decided on a cross hatch pattern instead. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, Mike. I don't normally use a lot of giraffe but thought that this plain white had a nice look to it.

Looks good. Is the guard Damascus also? Good looking.
