Just finished up these yesterday, I sure wish I could go to the Blade
show, it would be nice to meet so many from Bladeforum.

Bowie- oal - 15 5/8" w/ 10 1/4" blade - 5" clip (dull)
Hunter- oal 9 1/4" w/ 4 5/8" blade.

Nickel/Silver guard, spacers, pins and pommel. Stag handles. Tangs run entire handle length and are threaded and screwed to pommels.

Georgeous, Bill. It just keeps rolling.... happy for you!

Wow! Great work, Bill.

Now that's a pair, the beauty of which a man seldom sees.

Nice, Bill! I really like your pins in the handle. Do those go all the way through or do you apply them from each side?

Nice filework on the guards too. In fact, nice work throughout! :) You're one dang good knifemaker, thanks for sharing. Wish I could make as many knives as you do!

Thanks guys,

Dave, no the pins are just decor, inset about 1/4", with the tang running the entire handle length and then screwing to the pommel there's no need for pins to run all the way though, the handle should never come loose unless someone unscrews the pommel and then it would have to be split to come off. As for making so many knives, if you do this 10 to 12 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week, you'll make more.:D

Gib, just sanded off the outside bark and stained.

Thanks again,

Bill

Beutiful work as usual, Bill. Low layer random raindrop? Some sweet work there. I hear you about the Blade show, as well. Maby in a year, probably more for me.

Fantastic! Great damascus pattern ( I keep seeing funny faces in the large one:D ), great file work, nice job on the handles!
I also like the placement and style of your new makers mark.;)

Thanks guys. I just wish I could take better picures, because these pictures really don't show how nice these 2 really turned out. I think I'm going to send them to Terrill H. and have him shoot them.

Clint,

It just keeps getting worse about the Blade show. My wife came home from work last night, (she's the manager of a pretty high dollar restaurant here) and a gentleman and his wife that have been coming there for years, came in. He's a retired bridge builder, anyway, he said he had an appartment in Atlanta, and if she could get off work and we would drive to Kansas City, thats where his private jet is. He would have his pilot fly us down and then bring us back on Sunday, and we could stay in his appartment. All for free. But the boss has big plans for this weekend so there's no way she can get off. Makes a poor ol Missouri rock slinging hillbilly want to cry. But thats life, like you maybe next year. The really bad part is, he said its about a 10 to 11 hr. drive to atlanta, but 1 hr and 10 minutes by jet. :( :grumpy:
