I missed this one the first time around, but managed to snag it in the after market.
Tim's work is very hard to come by, but it is simply outstanding.

Here is his description of the knife.

Blade:
O1/L6 Damascus, 160 Layers, Random Pattern
7.65" Long, 1.66" Wide, 0.245" Thick at Guard
60.5 HRC, Salt Bath Martempered, Triple Tempered
All Damascus tang and cap threading. Nothing is welded on for the tang.

Handle:
Flamed Walnut, Oil Finish
5.05" Long, 1.34" Wide at Guard, 0.719" Thick at Guard, 1.62" Wide at Butt, 0.931" Thick at Butt
Balance Point: At front copper spacer. A light "fast" blade feel.
120+ year old wrought iron fittings. They are etched to show the grain and slag inclusions.
Oval section in front, tapering to a teardrop shape at the butt.

A knife with great character.

This particular design isn't for me, but I really appreciate the strong craftsmanship and the individuality of this blade.

Mr. Zowada has both creativity and great skill.

And you've got good taste. :D

I agree with OldPhysics, A lot of Character:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

That is a great piece - you can tell it's one of Tim's at a glance. Congrats!

It is one that I would be happy to own.

Zowada is one of the best. A prime example of why one who likes forged blades shouldn't JUST collect ABS MS or JS smiths.....Nice Catch, Pete..

I agree also!

I'm becoming more enamored of knives with out guards... integrals/gauchos/pukkos and this clean designed mid sized camp.

I'm afraid that I'd be too tempted to use that one. :)

Great snag, Peter!

Peter,
Excellent!
The Damascus specs on the blade speaks to some performance levels,
maybe Danbo is right. :D
VERY NICE pickup.

very nice acquisition Peter. One seldom sees something from TZ and he is another maker that someday I hope add to our collection.
