This is my test run, I have been toying with the idea of passing on more modern folders and carrying traditional knives. My only concern is pocket carry, Dont want it to fall out and i dont often have a watch pocket.

Anyway just wanted to share my knew knife.

its a sweet little knife and a conglomerate of first for me; First Case, first damascus, first traditional. So far I am impressed by it, and again can't wait to put it to use tomorrow.

That's a great looking knife you've got there, Blade_Crazy! I was hoping you would post some pics of it when you got it.

How's the snap on those blades?

Both blades open and close with a good snap and absolutely no blade play however i had a question about he way the knife "locks up"

If you look at the picture neither blade sits flush.... Is that normal?

Yeah, I would also say that is pretty normal. This is commonly refered to as "underbladed" and in my opinion it has no adverse effects on the knife. You will find slipjoints of many different makes and models with this type of construction. On the other hand, there are many that are flush in this area.

Personally, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Great looking knife! Congratulations! You'll love that Thomas Damascus.

Thanks, I wont worry about it. I figured it would be ok since it is a Case knife but never hurt to be sure

What a tragedy to take such a beautiful knife, and then slap screamingly-purple scales on it. ;)

JK, I actually think the purple looks nice on that knife. That is a little beauty. The Thomas damascus is good stuff, I find myself accumulating more and more of it lately. That knife has a lot of good things going for it. It's a Case, it's damascus, it's little, and it has fancy bolsters. What's not to like?

LOL the purple is a product of the HDR app on my phone, its not quite so "screaming" purple in real life. Even so I like the purple. I Love this knife and there is nothing not to love! been using it all day and cant wait to use it more.

I had said that this was my test run knife to see if I wanted to pursue a more traditional knife habit and it certainly has me sold. Can't wait to start adding to my collection of traditional knives.

Tread carefully, friend. These are expensive waters you're wading into. Traditionals in general, and Cases in particular can be highly addictive.
