Just finished this folder up. I made the blade from a slice of a Chad Nichols/Steve Kelly canister mosaic billet that I got from them at a hammer in around 2007. Scales are hand checkered ironwood. Jeweled titanium liners. Fileworked black g-10 backspacer. 4 1/4" closed, 3 3/8" blade.

Nice work John - classic. What's Desert Ironwood like to checker? Does it clog up the checkering tools like it does belts?

Thanks much gents!

Hey TK.......It was trickier to cut than walnut or maple. The cutters tended to slide at first until you got a deep enough cut started. Yeah, they loaded up a fair bit too. I brushed them clean frequently. Thanks buddy!

Beautiful folder and that back spacer looks nice as well.

Thanks man! I like how the backspacer turned out too. Here's a pic I caught of the INSIDE of it as you look through the scales. A little hidden detail- 'stealth' thorn & vine filework.

That's attention to detail at it's finest Mr. Doyle. The file work and jimping is over the top sir and the Damascus is striking for lack of a better word.:thumbsup:

The checkering is such a natural fit to your work. It's one of my favorite embellishments. You did an exceptional job.

Sold yet? It will go in a heartbeat. :)
