Won't be long now.

Sorry for the glare (heavy oil and florescents don't mix well :o)

Nice, very nice indeed Thomas!! I was wondering how those lil buggers would look with a nice Damascus pattern on 'em!!;)

Same handle as the Damascus Leek? I know you said the sheen is from a heavy coat of oil, but looking that shiny makes 'em look like the polished stainless handle would be a perfect match for those blades...hmm?

Cheers,
Jon

What will the performance of the steel on these be comparable to? I might just have to get one for my mom... she could use a little knife, and loves the look of Damascus.

This is what I got from the source

The steel is made from the following:

We use (3) layers of 52100, (4) layers of 5160, (3) layers of 203E, and (3)
layers of 15N20.

The steel is forged out and folded 5 times to give you 416 layers.

The leeks are made from a random pattern. Brad told me that Kershaw is
about to release a knife made from our ladder pattern steel.

Thanks

Hope that gives you some kind of idea about comparing.
I have a few of the DAM Leeks, one I edc. Is stays sharp for a
good bit, not as long as S30V. It takes a great edge.

Lordyjesuschristiwantoneiwantone.

I have been carrying a Chive since I got one at the warehouse sale, and it is always with me wherever I go. It's great for the "ohmygod he has a knife" type of people as well as short people so it doesn't dwarf them like a Leek or Shallot could (kidding all you little ones :)). No matter how many I have with me, the Chive is one of them.

Have you mentioned what the MSRP or street price is yet Thomas, or did I miss it?

Rik

I carry a Chive daily, and have for almost every day for two years now. I at times carry a bigger knife, but the Chive gets the majority of the time. Love the litle guy, but I think he needs a brother....

And a big brother.... And some cousins.... And... :D

Looks great, Estimated cost? EDIT - And somehow I had no idea these were coming, when did miss this?

And just when I thought I had caught up with all the Kershaws that I 'need', you go and pull a stunt like this. ;)

You knife companies are going to make me turn back to crack for my vice, it's less addicting than new knives. :)

Thomas, I want the one on the bottom left in the second picture. Can you hold on to it until I can make arrangements to have it delivered to a friendly retailer? Thanks!

So the knife would sell for about $50? Seems pretty reasonable... MIA right?

Expected release? Mother's Day is in like a week, but I've already purchased that present... hrmm...
