Damascus computer modeling?

Not long ago I saw a post where someone was using software to do some computer modeling of damascus patterns. Of course it did not occur to me to bookmark it and I cannot find it again with a search. Anyone out there that could find that thread for me? I would luv to read it again and find out what software was being used for that.
