At the NCCA knife show last weekend I saw 3 damascus Cudas for sale. I`d never seen (or heard of) Cudas done in damascus. Is this something new? (Or do I just not get around too much anymore?)

Steve,
Glad you noticed! We made a few up this fall. We really did it without much fanfare, ...the project just never got much promotional 'steam' behind it. I really liked the way they turned out, and wish we would make more. I'll check, but I think there were only a couple of hundred made. I'm currently lobbying for the company to continue to offer the Damascus version of the CUDA. So, tell me[and I'll pass it on], what do you think?Did you like it? Would you like to see more?

Thanks for the interest.

They were very nice, but I think I`d rather see a damascus CQB1. The CUDA is such a utilitarian design. I never thought of it as a looker. Now the CQB1 is a definite looker that would really be sweet in damascus.

Do you think that`ll ever happen? Maybe?
