This is an explosion pattern dagger with ivory scales, 416 guard, bolsters and frame. .030 nickel silver liners that have been gold plated. 6 1/2" blade 10 1/2 overall length. I spent 3 hours on the phone last night with Kyle Royer talking knives. He talked me through the photo posting process several times, what a great guy. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks again Kyle

Great looking dagger.......the Damascus is awesome and the fit/finish look to be superb........VERY nice.

That's a beauty, hard to believe that patterns actually in the steel. It almost looks painted on the blade. I'm not sure how you makers do it but its really awesome.
Its like Art within the Steel itself.

Wow the steel is picture perfect and the rest is as clean as I've ever seen. Outstanding craftsmanship Mike

Beautiful!
I can feel the guard and spacer crying out
to be deep-relief engraved....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thanks for the kind words. As far as the engraving goes I'm planning on taking a class locally in July. I think gold inlaid lines on the bolsters as well as the frame would be nice, or a fleur de lis on the front of the bolster. So many things to learn so little time.

Great looking dagger Mike and I have to agree with Bailey and John and pretty much everyone, engraving is called for. Beautiful work.

BEAUTIFUL! Those gold plated liners add a nice touch and that damascus is EXCEPTIONAL!

Engraving would really add to it as well, IMHO.

Beautiful damascus pattern, clean and crisp execution - that is really well done.

Mike that is very nice nickel silver liners that have been gold plated wow I like that a lot did you send them out or did you do it in your shop.

D Lisch,
I did the gold plating with the help of a friend. He showed me the DC power source to get and the right gold plating solution, you just paint it on.

Great Work Mike!

It was a pleasure talking with you on the phone the other day.

Your pictures look great. I love the damascus on that dagger.

Thanks for showing it.
