Today I finished this Drop Point Hunter made of damascus 15N20+1070 with a ladder pattern.
Total lenght is 205mm, blade 85mm, thickness 4.5mm, height at the ricaso 28mm.
Tappered tang. Bolsters in AISI304 with invisible hammered pins.
I was told the wood was Jacarandá, but it does not look like it.
Handle pins are 2mm alpacca. Still has no sheat.

Think it is a very nice knife. I was wondering what you mean by:

"Handle pins are 2mm alpacca"

I agree with you, it doesn't look like Jacaranda. The grain does look right, but I've never seen Jacaranda that wasn't almost white, with no color variation. Whatever it is, it looks good on the knife.

The pins for the scales are made of alpaca (also called german silver)

Very nice Damascus. Just a suggestion, but I think it might look better with the blade sterile and your makers mark or signature on the tang if you could fit it or going down the recasso.
