damascus ebay blanks. thoughts?

It's cheap, soft, Pakistani damascus, nothing really interesting unless you want to buy a knife only for looking at.

Pretty much agree with this. ^
The blank at the bottom looks like one I got from Atlanta Cutlery in 2004.
Looks like they added some spine treatments to the remaining stock. :D

I have many thoughts and none are positive. I suggest checking out the for sale section here. Your money will likely be better spent.

thanks for the input guys.looks like the hunt is still on.

What does this mean? You can buy excellent pattern welded Steel (damascus) blanks from a variety of American makers and sources. Just do an internet search. But if you are looking for cheap, then you get what you pay for.

Check out Two Finger Knife Co., they've been making some good quality damascus blade/blanks for several years now

i think i have decided on a Alabama Damascus blank(almost).i wasn't looking for "cheap" i just was curious about ebay..im a plumber by trade and a hobby drag racer, i thought "it will be easy to find a blank and handle it.hahah was i ever so wrong.im making the knife for my father in-law for his birthday as he is a hunter.there is so much to learn about "cutlery" i have been searching the forums for hours a day.lol.i think if i put enough time and effort into it, i should have a decent knife for him.

Yeah you really can't go wrong with Brad's stuff at Alabama Damascus. He makes a great product at a decent price. You can get pre-cut blanks or whole billets of damascus from him.
