I've only being making knives about a year and after seeing some of the other work here, I'm almost not sure I want to post mine but here it is....

Blade: 1084 and 15n20
Handle: Elk Brow Tine
Guard and Buttcap: Brushed Nickel Silver

Thanks for looking!

I wouldn't be one bit hesitant about showing it off  it's absolutely stunning :D

Well done, I especially like the brushed Nickel Silver on the end cap, adds a lot of class.

VERY well done, sir

I really like this knife, I especially like the damascus, blade shape, sheath and butt cap.
Great work!
Dave

Thanks Gents! This was my first, and so far only commisioned knife. Sending it off to someone was the most nerve racking thing I have done! And to top it off, the customer went on vacation without telling me so I didn't get a response to my e-mails to see if he got it for like 2 weeks  .

You should be posting more often ! Thats a great looking little knife. I'm presuming its a smaller knife and that what I see is a pocket type sheath. I have a fondness for low-layer damascus after getting a low-layer blade from Michael Burch a few months ago. I don't usually shape my handles this way, but it actually looks quite good and yes, the brushed NS is classy ! Keep them coming. Jason.

I just started posting pics of my work too. Don't hesitate to show yours. That looks great. I like the damascus and anyone who can forge should be proud of it. I wish I can someday.

The Blade is around 3.5" and the Handle is about 4". The customer was an avid hunter who wanted a small skinner/caper. I used the brushed nickel because he would be wearing the knife while hunting and it would cut down on glare and flash and also he would be using it which would just lead to scratches on a high polish. I had only been making knives for about 9 months when I started this one. A lot of that time was teaching myself to hand hammer damascus which I have backed off doing now.

Thanks for the comments :D

I will post more as soon as I get more done. I just recently got my first 2x72 grinder, before I was using a 1x30. I'm still getting used to the power of the new grinder!
