I thought with this knife that I would make a simple, straight forward type fighter with no frills. I gave it a 6 1/2" random Damascus blade with walrus & stainless furniture.

Let me know what you think.

Well. Gary if that's your "simple", then I'm a big fan of simple. The only thing that caught my eye, (and it could just be the photo angle) is that the choil area. for my taste, is a little bit lengthy.

Thats a beauty Gary, I do agree with Paul, a little lengthy in that area for me also, but it does make for a good chocking up area ahead of the guard if that was your intent. All in all a really nice piece.:thumbup:

Thanks, guys. I agree that the ricasso is a bit more lengthy then normal. I didn't notice it until after stamping my touch mark which was too late to adjust it.

Glad you liked it though.

Nice steel, nice fittings and some beautiful walrus! What's not to like?? I'm gonna throw my hat in with the others about the ricasso being a little longer than what I usually like, but I'm also a big fan of what I just call the "Wheeler Ricasso"...either way though, it's a great looking knife Gary!

It's very nice work Gary. I'm not big on re-touching knives once they're done but it would be easy enough to move
that plunge line back a little to shorten the ricasso, like so..
