I haven’t made a lot of Damascus, a lot of San Mai but not a lot of pattern welded. I made a low count billet (64) last week. Probably about 60 layer after surface grinding off the scale. Anyway, I got enough for about 3 knives, so I cut out a rectangle and forged a simple flat back just to check out the pattern. Zebra wood scales. What do you think, it’s random with some thrown in drill rain drops
