Finished this one this weekend. I bought the blade ground and heat treated and did the rest. Man's gotta start somewhere. I did it for a friend of mine who paid for the materials. Good cheap way to learn I think. Might be a fishin or huntin trip in there somewhere too out of the deal. In the picture it appears to have smudges or something on the wood near the choil but it is just the picture. That ironwood is just awesome.

I delivered that one today and he was very happy with the new tool. I'm building its twin for "the boss man". He was there for the delivery and has to have one too!. Did a little file work on the spine this time. I think it's gonna be a keeper. Each one seems to turn out a little better. Practice makes, well maybe someday...............
