Nice catch,
I just sent Jerry an email with the link.
The piece looks nice, for an IP infringing copy!
I just left a comment on their facebook page, under the video of the gamewarden. Shame on them, ripping off some one else design.. http://www.facebook.com/OlamicCutlery
Thanks to gundude73 who sent me a link roughly a week ago, Jerry is already aware of this GW lookalike. No need to send him further emails....Although it's good of ya, Bigfattyt, to alert him to this one sitting on AZCK's website awaiting purchase.
gundude73 actually found a youtube review of several Olamic knives, including this one.

Gotta admit that I'm having a bit of a hard time saying NO to this copy because it does look good... But I won't cave. :grumpy:
Hey, Jerry!Any time you wanna make some INFI damascus GW's, count me in for 27!

Speaking as a fairly long time Busse customer, I applaud your decision to pull the 3 Game Warden copies from sale.At least I now know what a GW in damascus would look like... and it looks good.
Your explanation is appreciated.![]()
Hi Everyone.
I replied to a few of you via Facebook and just saw this thread, so thought I'd reply openly. I won't ask the mods to delete it or anything. Gaining respect of the BF community is my top priority, and I'd love to set Olamic's record straight.
Regarding the GW copy - we had a customer come by with a design sketched out on paper and requested 3 knives made like that. So we did it for him. He then disappeared and I was stuck with the knives, so we put them up for sale. As soon as that happened, you guys caught it, I looked at Busse's GW and realized that oh shit, the customer's design was pretty much a copy of that - the ones that we made had a handle shorter by about 1". At that point I pulled all the knives off sale and requested them back from my dealers. We are NOT going to make any money off of a ripped off design, even if we didn't know so at the time. There is simply no way for me to cross-check every single design that gets brought in with every single knife ever made. But like I said, we're not making any money off those three knives, and will (obviously) not make another one.
Regarding the Roach Belly - yes the design is similar but it is in no way identical. Our Persian has a pointy handle and the finger groove is shaped much differently; as well as a more up-swept curve on the blade itself; it's also full tang and not hidden tang.
Regarding Tom Brown's knife - this was also a custom customer order, once you guys pointed out that it's not our design, we refused the purchase, and the knife was put away in a dark spot where no one will see it and no money will made off its sale.
It was not our intention to copy a Busse design and I hope that both the community and Mr. Busse himself can accept our apology for accidentally doing so! We're a young brand with some great Damascus steel, working on gaining the respect of this tightly-knit world. Because thousands of knives have been made by hundreds of companies, staying completely original is very difficult, but we shall increase our efforts design-wise and hopefully gain your respect.
P.S. If you guys want a Damascus GameWarden maybe Jerry and I could sort something out? That way it would be a legitimate knife and the community gets something unique? Just an idea.
