here is the first knife i have finished in two months. it has a 324 layer wolfs tooth pattern blade with a brass guard and spacer with a cocobolo handle. i did some things as far as handle shape and finishing that i have never done before let me know what ya'll think...........Erik

I really like the design, but I would want something other than brass. I really don't like the way it oxidizes.

Hey Erik, I think the handle looks killer... my question is how does it feel?? I can see that you have been making improvements in your knives. Way to go.

Great looking knife and superb Damascus......very fine, Eric.

looks great eric...i like the brass.....i would like the knife even better with copper or something unusual....i like stuff that's different.....very clean looking knife.....ryan

That is some good looking cocobolo and I really like seeing good old fashioned random pattern damascus with a nice layer count. Keep up the good work

Nice blade. Beautiful damascus. Good looking handle too.

calls for some sculpting, and a material other than brass...copper, stainless steel, bronze, mokume gane, sterling silver, monel, inconel or a different type of damascus all come to mind as preferable to brass or it's bastard cousin, nickel silver.

Could use a thong hole.

Nice knife, though.

thanks for all the replies everyone. so the general consensus is to quite useing brass and go to something else if i am going to step up the quality of my knives?

Yes!

Brass has no Class!

Hunters need thongholes!

I like the overall shape..it would be a fine utility fixed blade.
