Damascus in new Boker Kwaiken

I have not seen the damascus model. Unfortunately boker isnt very forthcoming with who they get their damascus from. I know alabama damascus is a good lower cost damascus but I have no idea if that is who is supplying it. I cant find any info on the knife period.
Thanks, again. It looks like I'm going to buy one today and I'll let you know what I think. Columbus took a chance so I will, too - somebody has to. After reading your reply to my thread, re Kershaw's Damascus, I bought one and it's turned out to be pretty good at holding an edge. It took a little extra time to sharpen but ended up with a great edge - a definite improvement over the standard model. Looks great, too.

If you go to Boker's website, they say it is Damasteel, which is a brand of powder metal damascus steel from Sweden. I didn't see that information listed at any retailers, so I originally assumed it was mystery damascus as well.
I bought one and it hasn't left my pocket since it arrived. I haven't had it long enough for a comprehensive evaluation but so far I'm loving it. It doesn't exactly sharpen quickly but it took a scary edge. I expect good edge retention, being Damasteel and from the feel of sharpening it (if I had to guess). The fit and finish are perfect. The action is smooth as a baby's, and it carries very nice - draws and flips open easily - my hand automatically orients to the flipper. Five days isn't long enough for a review but it's long enough for me to know that it's a keeper and I recommend it. It's really gorgeous, too. I already found a pair of custom titanium scales which will increase it's sexuality, even more. Oh, it's the sickness.

I also purchased one and couldn't be more pleased! This was the 1st Kwaiken I have ever purchased and for 249.00 I was a little hesitant but I'm glad I pulled the trigger.

Can you please post a link for that pair of custom titanium scales.
BTW: I love my Damascus Böker Kwaiken. Also love Kwaiken with carbon scales.

Kwaiken Damascus is the great knife. It is my perfect EDC grail. A pattern is very beautiful and practical. It is a Damasteel pattern and I'm not shure but probably it is the Odins Eye - martensitic stainless damascus - "Damasteels martensitic stainless Damascus steel is a powder based steel with the two alloys RWL 34 and PMC 27"
The blade cutting edge and the tip are scary sharp out of the factory, literally. Yesterday I was sitting at the desk, and the knife fell out of my hand accidentally and falling about 10 cm stabbed me in the chest to a depth of one inch (2,5 cm)!
The knife stopped only thanks to my ribs exactly in the centre where the heart is, so I was very lucky.. 
I will make the review soon.
