Damascus Insingo?

I have tried several times to order a group of (20)twenty Damascus Insingo's. Not a priority for CR I guess. Most recent time was just a week/10days ago. Heather was friendly as always, maybe one day..

I have asked them multiple times for one. I was told that the blade grind is so much thinner than a regular sebenza, so its unlikely one would ever be done. We can hold out hope though.....!!! I would be up for a sebenza 25 with the super thick DT SS Damascus.........if a insingo is not gonna happen......lol. Both would be awesome.

AFAIK not happened yet.
If it happens, one has my name on it.

Sign me up for the Damascus Insingo too. Maybe as a start we could just get an insingo with inlays other than Micarta? That would take no extra effort. Its clear the small Insingo is one of the most popular high end EDC knives. Why is it not available with wood or mammoth inlays?

You can get it with cf inlays from blade hq

When I called a couple months ago, I was told that it was proposed to Chris and he said it wasn't going to happen.

Well at a Blade show, 2011 methinks when I asked Chris, he told me "one would have to order it first" or something like that.

The group of 20 I have been trying to order was 10ea Lg/Sm. half (5ea) with Micarta half plain. Basketweave my first choice, although a unique SS Damascus or any DT ss would be great.
Don't worry group, they will be offered here first if they ever happen.
Definitely open to suggestions.
That 25 Insingo in Damascus idea, wow!

Not being a knife maker , I don't see why an Insingo can't be made of Damascus. I've seen plenty of thin Damascus baldes on other brands,,,,, Is it more brittle or tends to break?

I was thinking earlier today I'd actually love to have an Insingo with thicker blade stock (ala 25) and a large radius grind (ala 25). Add damascus to this idea, and that would be a killer.

I emailed CRK yesterday to ask a couple questions. I asked them specifically about a damascus insingo and this is the response I received.

"We currently do not make Damascus blades with the Insingo blade profile, and we have no plans to make them in the future.
You have the option to order a Small Sebenza 21 with a plain titanium or Micarta handle and have an Insingo blade.
Or you can order a Small Sebenza 21 with any of our handle options and have a Damascus blade.
We consider the Insingo a "working" blade and the Damascus is a more "formal" blade."

So i think someone with more organizational skill than I should start some kind of petition/signup to give to CRK. We need to make this happen!
