This is my latest, it is a copy of my fathers M.C. Kabar, that I am surprising him with...Blade is 512 layer 5160/1018, guard is 16 layer 1095/1018, cap is same as the blade. Handle is Sambar Stag, Brass, Stabilized Maple, and Mahogany, and Elk Antler. The sheath is leather with Curly Maple, dyed USMC Black, embedded in the front is the USMC symbol, and his rank in the Army NG at retirement.

Thats cool. I have the same knife, it belonged to my grandmothers uncle. He had a stroke and so I kinda got it. Did the military issue the same knife for different wars? The knives are almost identical except that your father's has retained it shape better in the hilt where as mine is flat. And the guard is a different shape. do you know why that is? I posted a picture of it in The Gallery under General Discussion. Good lookin knife you made too. The sheath detail was a nice touch.
