Hello guys, I just wanted to share a few pics of a set of knives we have been working on. These are made from our damascus "REVERB" pattern.. With Ironwood burl handles and copper hardware and tang liners. These still need a few finishing touches, and the finished edges added. Then a leather pouch/case and they will be ready for delivery. :D

As always, Thank you for looking. Any comments or critiques are welcomed.

What a great set. I like the way the mosaic pins are "book ended" by the solid pins. What's the blade length on the chef's knife? Also...why lanyard holes on kitchen knives?

Thanks Guys, Good question, These have the lanyards because my customer has had a heart surgery, and they borrowed some veins from his wrist, and that left him with minor nerve damage.. so when he orders a custom knife, he uses a lanyard.. Even in the kitchen! And I think he also hangs them from the lanyard above the island in his kitchen. :)

The blade on the Chef is 10" and just over 2 1/8" at the heel.. Thickness at the spine above the heel is .098" or 2.5mm tapering to the tip.. :)

Excellent set, I've toyed with the idea of hanging the knives in the kitchen that I use.

That chefs knife looks like is has really good knuckle room too!

Thanks Skimo. Yea you wont have to worry about busting your knuckles with this one!! I want to get a magnetic strip for my set of knives.. Only problem is the cupboard clearance would be less then optimal in my current kitchen. :)

I've got that problem too, the only space I have to hang knives would be over the sink. I especially like the darker handled 'steak knife'.

I just think its cool that hes able to continue to do what he loves and thats cook! And if having a lanyard is all it takes. Thats even better..

This set started out as a 3 piece set..
Which as I was making it.. There was enough steel to make the 4th knife so that just what I did.. He sure was happy to see the extra knife!

Im working on a knife role/carry case that will house the knives, Fold over and latch closed. with a tooled handle and shoulder strap.. Ill post some pics when its completed!

Thanks for looking
Randy

kelsil, Yea, this is our damascus.. It was forged right here by Randy Jr. Hes mt 20 year old son. Keep a eye on this kid and his steel. :) Im really proud of him. and his work.. Its a blessing to be able to have my boy working with me sharing in this passion/addiction I call knife making! lol

Thanks for the complement on the knives!

Beautiful set, Randy! The damascus pattern is great, and I'm always a sucker for ironwood burl.

The leather case is very nice as well; do you have any photos of the inside with the knives in it?

Thanks Paul, Yes there is a pic in the post above that if you click on it will blow up for you to see the knife case with the knives in ti.. :)

Again Thanks for the comment and checking out our knives!

um.... Wow.

That damascus looks like a 2D seismic profile. Cool.

Thanks Daizrr. This set is our "Reverb" pattern.. Heres a watch Bezel made from the same pattern!
