I contacted Alabama Damascus a few days ago and received a reply
today. I asked them what steels made up the Damascus used in the
ever popular Leeks.
Here is what they had to say.
Thanks Lacy! We've all been wanting to know what kind of Damascus they
were made from.
The next Kershaw using the ladder pattern mentioned would be the Chive which Thomas talked about
a few days ago. Followed later on by the Scallion.
Here is their website for those that are interested.

Mike
The steel is made from the following:
We use (3) layers of 52100, (4) layers of 5160, (3) layers of 203E, and (3)
layers of 15N20.
The steel is forged out and folded 5 times to give you 416 layers.
The leeks are made from a random pattern. Brad told me that Kershaw is
about to release a knife made from our ladder pattern steel.
Thanks
Lacy
