Here's a knife that I somehow forgot to post up.
I guess it did get into the "Custom Knives at Work" thread, however.
It's one I've made about 20 of now and seems to be a bit popular, even with some other makers.
1095/15N20 pattern welded steel - hot-blued.
Hot-blued steel guard.
Stabilized Redwood burl handle.
Better get busy for Li'l Rock!

It might look familiar, because it resembles this one so much, which I posted about 10 days ago:

I like them both!

I appreciate your recognizable solid style and enjoy seeing your work. I hope to get to the Blade Show and talk knives with you.

Looks awesome. I love that Redwood burl - it smells great when you're grinding it! Can I ask the reasoning behind not making the handle flush with the bolster?

All I can say, is that at the time of this photo, I was a bit rushed on this knife. It got more refined prior to delivery.
Still, I leave most of my natural handle materials a tad proud of their accompanying steel counter-parts to allow for some movement - either way - and not to leave sharp edges of steel exposed.

Ummmmmmm...yep.
(I hate scale pins and bolts with a deep passion. But every now and then I'll do some in a full tang, simply because that's the nature of that beast.)
I'm doing a full tang Brute de Forge with now with screws. ;)

I see no pins... takedown?
