I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the Boker and the Boker Magnum Damascus holds up for day to day use. I know that most Damascus these days are for looks, but how do this hold up for real use?

hm... hard to compare.
The MAgnum damascus is I guess 50 layers of steel.

The Boker damascus is 180, 300 or more than 600 layers of premium steel. Sometime up to four different steels in one blade...

So, not fair to compare both with each other.

What are you going to do with it for EDC? Cutting food primarily or do you want to put it to some hard use??? So, I cannot tell you the one damascus holds an edge for one month and the oter one for one year. It depends what you cut and how often you use it.

I hope this helps
