Damascus Questions

I have a large and a small, and I use them both. I usually carry one of these, once in a while swapping out for a different situation. These are them, same pic as my avitar.

very nice. How much does use change the look of the blade?

I have one in the safe that I'm thinking about taking out, carrying and using.
 
Using them has not had an effect on the rest of the blade. My small is not stainless, so the bevel will discolor and show the pattern of the metel, but I like that. I put a mirror polish on the bevel and it darkens fairly quickly.
 
Here's my EDC. It's in my pocket about 90% of the time. It has a stainless Damascus blade that I can't say enough about. My favorite steel for daily use. I sharpens easy, holds an outstanding edge, and with the clear coat Kalgard...vertually impossible to scratch. I have been carrying my Umnumzaan to work lately, just because I need the heavier folder for my job. But my small classic is always at hand! Too, as we speak, I'm awaiting the arrival of my 08 limited large Damascus/ivory Sebenza. Can't wait for that!

i'm the lead grinder @ CRK, and i think i might be the one who ground, polished and etched your blades. when did you get these?

I just talked with Heather yesterday and she mentioned about the remainder of the 08 limited Sebs being done by months end. Have you ground any large Damascus blades for a inner cut mammoth ivory handle recently?

Particularly ladder or spirograph patterns?
 
I should love to get a CRK with damascus....bleh...I will be able to afford one someday
