I am looking for a Damascus blade knife like a Sebenza or similar but with out the large price tag, any ideas? I would love a patterned Damascus blade on a knife like a CRK or Lightfoot but cant afford the dollars and I have seen some production knives with Damascus blades in the past so maybe I can get something for around the $200 or so mark

Yeah +1 Mcusta's a great suggestion, that's probably the way I'd go

Check out Coast & Puma too for some affordable damascus folders in similar styles

You probably already know you can get Kershaw Leeks and Shallots in damascus

Mcusta was my first thought as well. They make some awesome damascus folders at unheard of prices.

Mcusta have unreal prices and having VG-10 core of damascus really appealed to me...handled one but did not have cash on me to shell out, definately on top of my list.

^^^ love this san mai, traditional Japanese aura to it, modern assembly.

thanks for that info everyone, the Mcusta look very nice.just like what I was looking for. They look to be of good build quality too as far as I can tell by the pics on their web site.

Oh yes. Well established outfit. Check japaneseknifedirect.com for good pricing

But indeed when they have a clip it is typically not removable.

I love my MC75D "Take". Really chic.
Keep in mind that many of them are smaller than you'd expect. If you want a bigger one, then their Tactility Elite Damascus series is pretty interesting - and if I am not mistaken you can remove the clip.

Yes when I read the sizes on the Mcusta web site I thought they didnt seem to be large folders. I have one on order so if I like it I will get some more, probably a Tactility Elite one in Damascus.
