hello,

today finally 3 pcs of the 22 pcs protos of the victorinox - swissbianco damascus soldier has arrived!

i put some first pics in here:

the quality is great and we work on the first run. good things need time but since mr elsener loves damascus steel i feel we get some other good news in that matters.

no price, no deliverytime, joust enjoy the pics!

thanks! currently its planned to make between 500 to 1000 pcs at the factory but its not complete tru it now. damasteel and swissbianco will each one pcs exhibit at the iwa next week, to make advertising. according the last news from victorinox they will not have an sample there, unlike the shot show.

you have to understand that this collaboration project has no priority for them and if the owner himself would not love damascus that mutch, it would not have happened.

as the handle configuration is not clear either, i hope i get some spare blades to make custom knives and back in usa i will force to make more of the new oht 08 plain edge damascus blades.

I never could figure out if there is an official waiting list on these, are you going to make these 22 available openly, or is this a reserved run?
 
those 22 pcs are "in house" protos - not for sale. but it shows how that ones will look and i will sure have an preorder as i now the details like price and est. manufacturing time. after the iwa next week we hopefully see better how it looks.

Woo hoo! I was sort of teasing since #23 is next in line. But 23 is actually my lucky number. I'm saving some quarters... and some dollars too.
