Just finished this one for an old Army friend's son, who's an active duty Colonel with a couple of tours in the sandpile. It's Brad Vice's Alabama Damascus. It's 12" OAL, 7 1/4" blade, fileworked spine (which doesn't show up in the picture), and I sanded the stag down smooth and polished it. That's the hardest piece of sambar I've ever used.

I like the knife a lot, but have always thought it was a waste to sand stag smooth. It ends up looking like bone to me. It's a fine looking knife just the same.

A splendid knife! Any Colonel would be proud to own and display that piece...no matter which Service.

Sorry about the sanding request, but the Army likes everything neat, clean, and 'according to regs.' Ah, the dominance of TRADOC!
