It's me again :D . I hope I'm not making you feel bored with my little one's.

I came home earlier from school and thought why not making another damascus dwarf.

This time it's not made of Damasteel, but of
Peter Stienen Damascus .

I polished it to a (nearly) mirror finish and then etched it in Fe3Cl.

So the nickel steel stayed polished and the carbon steel turned completly black.

Here's a pic before etching:

And one after (the orange spot is not dirt but the mirrorimage of my cupboard :) ) :

And one more pic to show the great pattern and that the grindlines were not washed out during the polishing:

Looking forward to your comments.

And as I said before if anyone should be interested in such small knifes ,be it hardened or not, just drop me a note and tell me what you are looking for. Then I can make your personal custom dwarf :D

Your designs and grinds are spectacular -- don't stop posting! :D

Add a necker sheath and/or a lanyard hole, and I think you'll move quite a few of them. ;)

Beautiful work!

That's a very cool little guy.

It's weird though, I like the "before etch" as much as the after. If you make any of these in like 440c or 10xx or something with a mirror finish or anything, that would be cool to see too :)

Thanks so much guys, your comments are making me feel realy good.

I haven't expected so much positive feedback.

Next weekend I'm going to try to make a little sheat, but it probably won't be easy as I only made one (normal) sheat so far.

I will also make the little one's from plain steel, because there's much more room to play with the design, than it is on the damascus leftover pieces.

Thanks again you are absolutely encouraging

Just wanted to add that sheats are now an option too :D.

I made it for the Hunter. You can see it here.

Nearly took as long as making the knife , but it's been only my second sheath at all, so I think I can speed it up with more practice.

That's some pretty good work for a school boy! I see potential...any thoughts of making the knives larger? ;)

Eric.

Bullet101, I only see one MAJOR flaw in the knives you have posted here and it seems to be a problem common to all of them. None of them are posted on the For Sale forum. You just gonna tease us till you turn 21 or what! :grumpy:
