Well, I'm not really sure if (link to non-supporting vendor removed by staff) is made of a real damascus steel. I know there are some experts that have bigger knowledge about this topic than me, so I will be very thankful if you help me.

Nothing knife related will ever be good from that place. Don't waste your money.

Cheap Damascus is pattern wielded pot metal.
Made very poorly and has very low edge retention and strength.

Pattern wielded damacus in general is not about the best performance, however there is great respect for the craftsmanship and skill needed to create it. The idea is to blend beauty with function

The cheap low quality damacus is a disgrace. Don't waste the money.

An example of a modern damacus that has good edge retention is Damasteel, a mixed powdered metal stainless steel that will look very beautiful and has good edge retention like other modern steels.

The legit stuff costs $$$. It's just the nature of the time and skilled labor involved to meld beauty and function.

No way around it.
