Just being curious gentlemen. Is there any damascus steel that could be heat treated just like a 1095 steel? Thank you in advance for any comment about this inquiry.

How about

1084 & 15n20
Then HT it like 1084

1095 is HypER eutectic
and is more difficult to HT Than 1084

Can you be more specific?
What is it you have in mind?

If you mean HT it with simple methods, Yes - most damascus is going to be heated to around 1450F and then quenched in oil.

Thank you so much guys. You helped me realize that they really could be heat treated that simple. Just don't know why but, all the while I've been thinking that they're done(HT) just like those high class stainless steels:o. Yeah 1..2..10, sounds like the 1084 & 15n20 is an ideal for me.
