From my Spyderco Damascus experience, the blades take a great edge and look pretty sweet as well.
With this Stretch I can carry it right out of the box with no mods like I did with my Damascus Endura.
I'm in for one!

I ordered the black one before the blue was even available. The black will match my other nishijin spydies but that blue is mighty purdy.

No the cutting edge is pure VG-10. The pattern steel is the other one

It seems the Damascus VG-10 gets sharper with less work than a FFG. May just be my imagination but my Damascus Endura gets scary sharp.

Those sure are pretty blades. My only concern is that these are going to be fairly heavy/dense knives, which will limit their usefulness to me. I'm not one for beauty queens that don't see much pocket time.

Not that it has stopped me before with Spydies...

I cant wait till they start sending these out :thumbup: I was pretty surprised they did not say OUT OF STOCK within the first hours like normally on a sprint run and they still seem to be in stock weirrrd. But I think I spy some full liners on these that will give the knife some real strenght.
