just finished up this Suji,
275 layers, 1084 and 15n20 Ht'd to 59-60HRC
just a little over 310mm long, 41mm tall at the heel
I tried something a little different with the geometry on this one after a conversation with Dave, apparently a common issue with suji is being so thin that the blade flexes to much when cutting.
I kept the spine a little thicker at about 2.5mm tapering to about 1.8mm at the tip
but I ground the edge down to .005 so it should still cut really well but be pretty stiff.
the handle is cocobolo with stabilized box elder ferrule.
balance point is 35mm from the handle. (there is about 1" of solid cocobolo that can be trimmed off the back of the handle to shift weight forward if desired)
