Here's a little Swayback that I just finished that I thought might be worthy of sharing here.

It's a 4" closed Swayback with some killer O1/nickel mosaic damascus made by Robert Calcinore. Handles are LSCF over orange g-10.

Thanks for looking!

neato! That's super sweet. Good conversation starter for educating non knife folk on customs, no doubt.

J, Love the knife. The swayback wharncliffe is among my favorite designs and you nailed this one.
Not a fan of true blue but how did you get the blade that shade? Nitre Blue salts perhaps? Great contrasts with the nickel.

Thanks everyone!

Bruce, I have had great results using ferric on O1. It gets it super black and provided some great contrast on this one.

apart from any technical consideration this knife is a great beauty

Jared you enter very quickly among the best

J, it looks actual blue. I have good results for black with ferric chloride too. Nitre blue salts give real blue but it can take off Rockwell points.

It might be the lighting that's making it look blue. It's just a nice dark black. I may have to give the nitre blue salts a try. Sounds really cool, thanks for the tip.
