Damascus & Ti Endura

Seriously, has no-one here bought this knife? Damascus blade and titanium slabs for $150?! I thought it was a damn good package. What am I missing here....?

Here you go

I find the Ti handle a little too smooth with bead blast satin finish, and it's a little slippery and you can never keep the fingerprints off. But it's a gorgeous knife!

Hey thanks! But is that an Endura or Delica? The blade looks like a Delica? Must be the angle....

Sweet knife! I really think its a cool combo... and a great deal for Ti slabs etc. That upper slab is begging for some sort of engraving....

Oops it's a Delica but the endura is the same, just a bit bigger, for the money, it's probably the cheapest Damascus Ti knife out there. Although the blade is a laminate but it's still a VG10 core, I do wish they use ZDP blade instead of the Damascus but that's just me

I had my stone washed after those pictures are taken, for some reason the Ti handle scratches pretty easy on my so...

Titanium is not as hard as steel, funnily enough. Its biggest benefit is its strength to weight ratio and other cool things, like the fact that you can anodise it and make it look pretty. Some call it God's metal. Its good stuff! :)

Who did the wash for you? I love my Damascus Delica but the handles already look like junk and that's just from carrying and switching the clip position.
Semi-related; I wish they would ship the clips loose in the box. I hate that simply relocating the clip adds scuffs.

I did the stone wash myself, just take a BBQ cleaning brush and beat on it lightly :) light "hammer" action do not drag it or you will get long scratches.

Do you have any pics ?
I'm interested in doing something with my one , but haven't really worked out how or what yet .
The finish on the standard Titanium scales only looks great when they are brand new and in catalogue pictures , the real world of actually carrying the knife soon shows up inadequacies .

Hey Ken, well the stone wash is to achieve a beat up look so that's exactly what I did, I'm going to try acid bath and then BBQ brush so it looks more inline as the spyderco line up,. I find without the acid bath, the stone wash just look scratched up because no color contrast, I like the southard and techno finish and those are acid before stone tumble.

I really like the looks of these knives. I have been told that the pattern on the blade tones down over time (maybe a good thing). Has anyone experienced this?

Stop drooling and get one before they are gone. I am still planning on getting a matching Delica.

I don't why these are in stock anywhere. Got to be the best deal going right now in the knife world.
