Recommendation? damascus

Hi guys, i'm new in this forum , would like to learn a lot and help if its posible.

I've a question, been making some damascus out of O1 and L6 with no problems. The thing is I want to try a new combination. I have some 4340 and 5160, is this a good mix??? would this hold an edge? and if not I could use it for pommels and bolsters (sadly I can not get any 15n20 or 10xx Steel in my country)
