Hi,
I really like the look of damask blades! As I'm using all my knives I'm wondering how tough they are. Of course I don't expect damask blades to perform like blades of modern steels like INFI, VG-10, ATS-34, CM-154 and so on.

Does anyone use his or her precious damask knives or do you just store them in a disply case?
What kinds of damask knives do you recommend (manufacturer, knife maker, steel, ...)?

greetings
Corona :)

Find a custom of your choice made with Damasteel from Sweden. It is stainless and made from the pacrticle metal process. They call RSP or rapidly solidified powder process. The harder and shinier of the steels involved is RWL 34 and is similar in composition to ATS 34 and 154 CM. This stuff performs very well.
Check out the website at: <www.ssdamascus.com>

The downside of Damasteel is, that the patterns are not such unique/individual than forged damask.
