Super on both, Ryan !!! That caser maker certainly makes a super covering to hide a great looking knife in !!! Frank

Very good, I like the straight back in contrast to the blade side, recasso, bolster and handle curves.
I find want to see the dark area of the knife next to the sheath, which is excellent also.

Frank, Jos, and Mark thanks for all of the comments! Mark here is another picture I'm not sure that it's not much lighter in the area you are talking about, mabye some. My wife is just starting into photography and figuring out what works and what doesn't.

I think the photos are very good, not so much that I needed to see that portion of the knife as my brain told me I was missing something. I don't have that feeling with the second picture. Both are very good pics and don't mean to critisize, wish I could do as well. The backgrounds are very complimentary.

The bolster looks to have screws attaching it to the blade? Are they meant to be removable or is that just your choice of attachment. Also the pins in the handle apear to be loveless style screws?

Mark, my wife and I both glad you said something. She just got started and wants to know what people like or don't like to see. The shadow we should have paid more attention to, but it was the picture I liked because it had the sheath in it as well.

The screws attatch the boslters to the blade. They can be removed if the need arises to get a scratch out of the boslter or if the owner ever decides they want them etched instead of colored. When I first started into knifemaking I hated the look of screws, and swore they'd never be on a knife I made. They really grew on me and I like the look of them now.The pins in the handle are the corby style, they look like a pin from both sides. I've never cared for the partial thread showing on one side of the Loveless style bolts.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

Looking good Ryan! I'm still waiting to see how you incorporate your scrimshaw skills into your knifemaking.

Thanks Mike and Allen. Allen I did a couple color pieces for Jerry McClure, but have some black and white ideas for a knife I have coming up.

Very nice work on everything. But I am not sure about two different Damascus pieces right next to each other. I think they sort of conflict with each other ?

KhawMengLee and Dusty One thanks! Dusty do you think another pattern would have helped, or rather have a single steel stainless or single carbon steel bolster?

Ryan...To me just a plain bolster between that beautiful blade and handle would have been perfect. Its still a Beautiful piece.....Nice work !
