Man, my old SHBM got clobbered by my FBM. I was throwing them and stuck the SHBM first and threw the FBM which struck the SHBM in the rear with a big clang!!. Now one has a dent in the edge and the other has a nasty little mark on it's butt. A love bite I guess.

Well you can fix one very easily while the spinal tap I would just leave as it is. On the up side it sounds like you have pretty good aim!!

Is it legal in "Never really know" location to throw your mistress around? Got pics of her battle scars?

Ouch!

That's much more noble than my HOGSJTAC's scar --- it came when i totally missed the stump, and it skidded across the gardening stones 10 yards behind the stump... :grumpy:

What you did is a marksman's trophy -- highly sought after in archery

Cool. Seems like a lot of knife to throw! If it wasn't for the blue tag on the laptop, that looks like a b/w photo. You prefer the bead blast over the original finish?

The problem is that once you start pounding on a coated blade, the coating wears off pretty quick. The desert coating is probably the toughest, but the other coatings wear off pretty quick, so once they get ugly, I just remove the coating with stripper and then bead blast them. Then later on will hand sand them withfine paper to get a satin finish.

That's it. I neeed Battle Mistresses. :grumpy:

(Mistressi? Misstratti? Megalamistresseterria? )

:D :D

BTW, I've done that before with a Ratweiler on a Rat Daddy. Freaking scary when it happens. Amazingly, there was just slight deformation to the tip of my RW and a scratch on the back end of the Daddy.

Man, these blades are tough.

and here is a pic of the FBM bead blasted...

That's EXACTLY what I wanna do with at least one of mine. Glad to see someone else do it before I send mine off to SOMEONE to do it. (I assume my local gunsmithy can do it. He's got a blast-hood, yada yada.)

Wow! I likey! THanks, Cobalt!

MAybe the dimples aren't as deep as they used to be. We found out it's an issue of the coating sticking versus an effect of heat-treating or something. Heck, if they aren't taht bad, I may just leave it un-beaded. Altho I've got a pre-stripped PD and a green linen/urbangrey SJTAC on teh way that WILL be stripped. So they might get a beadblast. Just for looks.
