OK Folks this is the third week in a row i have tried to hold the 7" Knife test and these damn Hurricanes keep on comming through! Well RAIN or SHINE I will conduct the test during the upcomming week and will post the results right here. I will also conduct the Busse #9 -vs- Cold Steel Trailmaster test during the same time.

This will give me a good feel for how the Busse compares to other brands.

I will say this. The sheath test is over and the Busse wins against the Trailmaster in that test hands down!

So stay tuned for the tests and the Trailmaster -vs- Busse Basic #9 test will be in our premier issue of our on-line magazine!

Alan,

You have my sincerest best wishes. I haven't had flood to deal with, thankfully.

Good Luck!

Nick

Good luck Alan. I am approx 80 miles south from Myrtle Beach and we always get brushed enough to make life miserable. At least we have not had any flooding. I am still repairing damage from Floyd and I sure don't need this. We will see by 2 pm tomorrow.
Do you know of any Knifemakers in N.C. that got wiped out? If so let me know.

Here in the San Francisco area we don't get natural disasters.

MIKE, do you ever test maker's knives for them??? Also, I'm thinking of putting Gunkote on a blade and having it tested to see if it's tough enough for a serious using knife. Take care! Michael

Hey Jim, I heard you had a little bit 'o shakin' goin' on in the wee hours. From what I heard there were no injuries though, hope that's still the case.

Well Floridas hurricane is raining on us now, just what we needed to feed the floods...

Anyone that knows anybody that lived in eastern North Carolina get a hold of them, they might need your help.

I went out yesterday to help a fellow knifemaker tear some flood damage out of his house and his parents house, you never know the extent of the damage till you see it. So open up the lines of communication if you know someone in a flood or hurricane ridden area, it is very tragic to loose everything you have, and these are our famillies and friends they need our help...

Alan Folts, and I am a non proffit organization...
