I've been using my furnace and having a ball. I just heat treated two blades and annealed 5 old files. It only took 20 minutes to get the files cherry red. The unit was preheated from HT so I figured I do the files while I was at it. I'm liking this heat treating. :D

Cool! I'm still waiting on my coffee can forge supplies from Darren, but I'm pretty excited about starting (knowin my luck the stuff sat out in the rain all day today!) with a better set up. 5 years of open air heating with propane and MAPP is REEEEdiculous. :rolleyes:

Yeah after the fiasco I had with the large camp blade, the torch is out unless someone wants just an edge hardened blade with a distinct temper line.
