So up until last Friday I was more than happy with my small collection of Benchmade, ZT's, and CRK's................... but then........... my new XM 24 from Maprik arrives, and suddenly all my previous knives seem somehow inferior?? This XM is soooo smooth, soooo well made, and just so freakin' awesome to hold onto and play with!!!

So now Mr. Hinderer has cost me another $25 to upgrade to a "gold" membership so I can sell my current knives to afford another Hinderer............. or 4..................

I'm so weak!!

David, once you've experienced the Hinderer quality its hard to settle for less. Just get the 3" and sell the rest of your knives and you're set!!!!:p

You and I are thinking a lot alike Phil.............. I am already using this sucker, and can't believe the quality, no way this is going to be a safe queen, it's gonna be used as Rick intended, a working, used, EDC................. shame on those who don't use these knives to their full potential!!

Now who wants to do a 3 for one swap??? lol

Yeah, some people, eh? ...The nerve of them to make such a fine product that's such a pleasure to own, to carry, to use... Who the heck do they think they are?
;) :D:D:D

Rick's had the same effect on my taste in knives also...dang it! ;)
Many have tried to pry one of my XM-18's or XM-24's (as well as my other Hinderer knives) out of my hands... None have been successful.

Congrats on your first XM, man. ...Probably won't be your last! :)

Thats what happened to me I do not carry any of my other knives now. And I now have 3 Hinderers within 2 months really need 1 more. :)

The worst part is, these thing are more addictive, and more expensive than crack!! At least no pimples!! lol

I am currently in the same situation as the OP. My ZT's now just sit on my desk and are something fun to flip when I get bored. My XM 18 3.5" is great and I am planning to get a few more in the future.

Yes, but I've seen one of your XMs (a24) at Blade. So I bet if a trustworthy soul asked nicely you'd play show n tell like I do when it's appropriate.

I have considered something similar to this myself, but in the end I just hoard all my knives.

Well said...I think I may need to add to the Hinderer insanity. I sold the flipper I had but would like to get another. In orange of course.

I got mine in orange, but be warned, if you're at all anal, the orange needs to be cleaned daily, it seems to suck the color out of your jeans!! A small price to pay!!

I also got my 1st Hinderer recently and had a similar experience. The XM's are just so much better than my other knives. I have so many knives, Benchmade, Spyderco, Leatherman, Buck, Boker, ZT, Lone Wolf, and Striders. The ZT's and Striders are the closest, but all those other ones seem so wimpy compared to the XM. I'm not gonna sell my Lone Wolf knives because they're discontinued, but I'm seriously considering getting rif of the rest to make room for more Hinderer's.

Just ordered my very first - XM-18 3" in - wait for it - YELLOW. We'll see how it stacks up to my small Sebbie 21. Pics upon arrival.

Congrats! If you like the small seb you're gonna love the 3". It makes the Sebenza seem very utilitarian - no style... Don't get me wrong I love my small reg seb but it's kind of homely compared to the curves of of XM!
