well, i have been "testing the waters" with a few Rats as of late...basically, they freakin' rock!:thumbup:

no new news here for you guys in this section of the forum i am sure!...LOL;)

but here's the other side of the coin...:eek:

i am dog loyal when it comes to the gear i use, i search to find the kit that works best for me, and tend to stick to it.
not a bad thing, i know.
well, it's time for me to rework some of my gear,:p downsizing/consolidating/upgrading...all of which is overdo.

sooo, me is reworking my survival kit, and let's just say...you rodent fans are going to likey me thinky:D

I've replaced some KABARs and some BK&Ts with RATs lately. Like it more like that.
RATs rock!!
 
I like being brand loyal myself.

Have some light weight gear from Buck Knives.
A filet knife, a small folding saw, a hatchet, a GREAT multi-tool, I use it for almost everything (even like it better than them gerber scout I used to have, this has a REAL knife blade, LOL) and a small folding 3" scandi fixed blade I use only small food prep.

The RAT knives do ROCK, they are great for food prep as well, especially larger jobs with the RAT-6.

Oh and by the way, the multi-tool has a partially serated blade that works GREAT with the Rat Fire Kit. I tried out a few different old smaller gerber knives I have laying around, one of which is serated, and the Buck Blade worked best. Put out a TON of fireballs. :)
