... its killing my wallet. I have Spyderco G10 cat for Urban EDC comming in the mail and Spyderco Superleaf for cabin, camping, hiking, both in the mail as we speak. I just love VG-10 (more than S30V actually)

Cat will be my first 440C Spyderco and I kinda am more excited about this small Spyderco than the Bink Honkin' Piece of Gorgeous VG-10 and compression lock because Superleaf has gotten alot forum time and pictures, so I kinda feel it like its sitting on my pocket, but Cat... its quite different beast. Lower end Spdie sitting just above Tenacious in pricepoint, lower than Delica's. It hasn't got that much forum time. Perhaps because its against Dragonfly 2, which is lighter?

Anyway, I'll get both Spydies this week... Two more spydies or 16 more legs into my collection. This bound to be a good week, albeit my wallet might disagree.

I own both the Dragonfly 2 (foliage green g10) and the g10 Cat. They're both very nice knifes Personally I prefer the Cat, there is a just a little bit more knife to "hold onto". I would love to see some higher end versions of the Cat produced. My Cat's blade isn't quite centered and there is a slight blemish, ironically near the Taiwan etching. However, at this price point I can hardly complain. Here is a quick comparison.

Cat
  • 440C
  • no jimping
  • liner lock
  • 2.5 oz
  • 2 7/16" blade

Dragonfly
  • VG-10
  • has jimping
  • lock back
  • 2 oz
  • 2 1/4" blade

Both knifes inspire confidence in the hand for such a small size. For me, it comes down to your preferred lock style and the blade length. I do wish the Cat had jimping, has anyone tried adding jimping themselves? So far 440C has been completely acceptable, I've sharpened it once and it was certainly easier to get a nice edge on it over my S30V paramilitary. Although, I'll probably have to sharpen it more often, I'm okay with that though.

I really hope they make sprint run of cat with white G10 and with ZDP-189, M4, M390 or Elmax blade. I got Cat today. First spyderco that had itty bitty uneven bevel but at the price point very nice knife. The lanyard hole is too small for 550 paracord so I have to think something else. Very nice and light knife. I might check Chicago next. The 440C is very nice stuff as I fiddled it bit and stropped the edge. Now it push cuts hair nicely, but not quite aswell as Spyderco Zulu, Gayle Bradley or Bob Terzuola slipit. My three most scary-sharp knives. I really like this one :D
